plain-language definitions
The terms Wakefully uses, defined in one breath and one paragraph — so operators, practitioners and sponsors are reading from the same page.
- Transformation Intelligence
- The category Wakefully operates in — the practice of reading, matching, measuring and capturing observable change across six domains, over time.
- Adjacent to but distinct from personalization (which optimizes preference), wellness tech (which optimizes physiology) and coaching software (which optimizes activity). Transformation Intelligence measures the belief and identity layer alongside behavior and body.
- The methodology →
- Guest Intelligence Brief
- A one-page read a practitioner receives before a guest arrives — the pattern beneath the intake, the recommended opening move, and what to watch for.
- Generated by the Wakefully Codex from intake language, reflections and optional pre-arrival check-ins. It replaces neither clinical assessment nor practitioner judgement — it prepares the first session so it doesn't have to start cold.
- Intelligence briefs →
- Pre-arrival personalization
- Turning the intake form into an Arrival Read — a personalization asset the practitioner uses on day one, not a compliance step that dies in a database.
- Distinct from booking personalization (room, spa) and from post-arrival personalization (feedback loops). Pre-arrival personalization changes what happens in the first session, which is the session that determines the shape of the stay.
- Pre-arrival →
- Six-domain outcome measurement
- Emotion, Insight, Meaning, Relationship, Identity, Behavior — the six domains of observable transformational change Wakefully measures at checkout.
- Claims-safe by construction: evidence-based indicators associated with transformational change, not clinical outcome claims. The guest keeps a private matrix; the operator learns from an aggregated cohort read.
- Outcome measurement →
- Durability (30 & 90 days)
- The read of what survived re-entry. Durability closes the loop on stays that felt transformational in the room and left no trace at 60 days.
- Measured at 30 and 90 days at three levels — program, cohort, and where relevant, practitioner. Durability is the metric renewals and repeat visits should be priced against.
- Durability →
- Sleep intelligence
- Sleep read as both recovery and signal — the physiological read alongside the belief pattern that decides whether the improvement survives the flight home.
- A sleep enhancement program with baseline, adaptation and carryover stages, plus a Sleep Carryover Brief the guest takes home. Not a substitute for clinical sleep diagnostics.
- Sleep intelligence →
- Longevity journey (belief layer)
- The third intelligence layer in a longevity program — beside biomarkers (body) and adherence logs (behavior). Explains why a client with a strong protocol quietly reverts by week four.
- Wakefully adds the belief and identity layer without replacing either body or behavior data. It is not a clinical service and does not generate medical outcome claims.
- Longevity clinics →
- Checkout brief
- The one-page artifact a guest receives at checkout summarizing what shifted, in their own language, with the two or three carryover moves that actually held.
- The checkout brief is the difference between a stay that is remembered and a stay that is repeated. It is written for the guest first and aggregated for the operator second.
